Half-Day, 8:30 am – 12 noon 

Addressing Trauma in Schools; Supporting the Journey to Psychological Safety, with Rachel's Challenge 
Kristi Krings, CEO, and Darrell Scott, Founder, will join us from Rachel's Challenge. Together they will uncover some of the facts surrounding mental health among youth and adults, particularly suicide, and discuss the solutions such as acceptance vs tolerance; seeking positive influences; and the importance of connectedness. They will lead participants through discovering how ESAs can be part of the solution including using ESSER funds, examples of wrap-around programs, and a presentation of a short case study. Teams will participate in a facilitated discussion about the day's session, and its implications on the work of their ESA.
