Public/Private Partnerships

The mission of the Montgomery County Educational Service Center, simply stated, is to strengthen outcomes in education throughout their service region. Achieving this relies on a divergent matrix of programs and personnel in order to support high quality service and maintain fiscal responsibility for our stakeholders. Public/Private partnerships with agencies, organizations and individuals who share our commitment to improving the well-being of children and families in our region are critical to MCESC's mission. Shannon Cox, MCESC, will share their experiences in developing effective Public/Private partnerships that address existing and emerging educational and community needs.

Entrepreneurial ESAs Community of Practice

About the Entrepreneurial Community of Practice

The purpose of this network is to learn with other Entrepreneurial ESAs as a Community of Practice. Sessions will be held virtually six (6) times per year, 90-minutes each session. Additionally, the network participants will be intentional about meeting at AESA national events.

Session Dates & Topics:

All sessions will run from 2-3:30 pm EST

August 30: Strategic Planning through Service Design. Tom Danehy, Executive Director of ACES, New Haven Connecticut
October 25: The West Virginia Story. Jan Hanlon, Executive Director of Mountain State ESC, Dunbar, West Virginia West Virginia had eight RESAs up until 2017, when the West Virginia Legislature defunded the RESAs and allowed them to reconstitute themselves as Cooperatives. Jan Hanlon is the Executive Director of the Mountain State ESC in West Virginia and will tell the West Virginia story along with how they have diversified their work and become innovative in growing revenue (no longer state-funded).

February 28: The Ins and Outs of Leading an Entrepreneurial Organization. Nancy Hutchinson, KEDC, Lexington, KY.
April 25: Aligning Strategic Planning with Talent Management. Chad Couette, Sourcewell, Staples, Minnesota
June 27: Topic to be determined. Rich Elsasser, Region 13. Austin, Texas
